Young Adult Pilgrimage to Taize

Catholic Youth Care manages 10 local youth services (in association with the local Vocational Education Committee) in Dublin city and county, Co Wicklow and Co Kildare.

They are:

  • Bray Youth Service,
  • Clondalkin Youth Service,
  • Dundrum-Rathdown Youth Service,
  • East Wicklow Youth Service,
  • Finglas Youth Service,
  • Lucan-North Kildare Youth Service,
  • Ronanstown Youth Service,
  • Swords-Baldoyle Youth Service,
  • Tallaght Travellers Youth Service.

The programmes and projects offered by each youth service varies from service to service but all would offer the following:

  • Computer Club
  • Support and advisory service  to all local youth groups;

  • Workshop and training service for local groups;

  • Child Protection Training;

  • Summer Project Programme;

  • Adventure sports programme; and

  • Faith programmes for young adults and parishes;

In addition some regional offices operate specialised services including:

  • Garda Youth Diversion Projects which work with at risk young people;

  • Programmes aimed at preventing early school leaving;

  • Drug education and prevention; and

  • Youth Information Services.
