Staff in CYC can contribute to a Staff Third World Charity. Over the past 20 years, their contributions  have helped to fund a health centre providing health care to mothers and children in the Sudan, a health and vocational training programme for street children and others in Calcutta, educational programmes for street children in Brazil, school classroom in Mozambique, educational programmes for young adults in the Cameroon and in Nigeria as well as funding for education and support for children with HIV/AIDS. In the past 20 years, nearly €80,000 has been spent on developmental projects in the developing world.

Typically the Charity supports one major project for a period of three years - (unding to about £3500 per year) and a minor project for one year (typical funded to about £500). (Ideas and suggestion for both projects are welcomed by the committee).

The total fund per annum is quite small. While we can sometime respond to requests, all requests cannot be responded to.
